Detention Of Suspects In ASDP Case Waits For The Results Of Calculation Of State Losses To Adequacy Of Evidence

The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) said that the detention of suspects in corruption cases related to business cooperation (KSU) and the acquisition of PT Jembatan Nusantara by PT ASDP Indonesia Ferry (Persero) was just a matter of time. Calculation of state losses to ensure sufficient evidence is still being carried out.

This was conveyed by KPK spokesman Tessa Mahardika after the South Jakarta District Court (PN) did not accept a pretrial lawsuit filed by one of the suspects, namely the President Director of PT ASDP Indonesia Ferry (Persero), Ira Puspadewi.

"We are best practice, investigators will coordinate with the auditor to wait for the calculation to finish, that's the first time," Tessa told reporters quoted on Wednesday, September 25.

In addition, another consideration for detaining is the adequacy of evidence. "Are the public prosecutors satisfied with the (information, ed) witnesses who have been summoned," he said.

"I'm satisfied with the documentary evidence or letters and other clues," continued the spokesman with the investigator's background.

If the calculation of state losses to sufficient evidence has been pocketed, Tessa said detention would certainly be carried out. I don't think there are any obstacles for these suspects to be detained. We'll just have to wait for the progress," he said.

Previously reported, the KPK is currently investigating cases of corruption in business cooperation (KSU) and the acquisition of PT Jembatan Nusantara by PT ASDP Indonesia Ferry (Persero). It is suspected that there has been a state loss which allegedly reached Rp1.27 trillion and is still changing because the calculation continues.

A total of four people have been named as suspects in this case. From the information gathered they are Ira Puspadewi who is the president director; Harry MAC as planning and development director; Yusuf Hadi who is the commercial and service director; and Adjie who is the owner of PT Jembatan Nusantara.

A VOI source said this loss arose because the acquisition process for PT Jembatan Nusantara did not comply with the regulations. Reporting from a number of reports, PT ASDP purchased PT Jembatan Nusantara in February 2022 with a value of IDR 1.3 trillion.

This state-owned company then controlled 100 percent of PT Jembatan Nusantara shares with 53 ships under management. "The process (in carrying out business cooperation and acquisition, ed) has no legal basis," he said.

"So all acquisition rules are violated," is still quoted from the same source.
