Rafael Nadal Enters The Spanish Squad For The 2024 Davis Cup
JAKARTA Rafael Nadal is included in the list of Spanish squads who will appear in the 2024 Davis Cup 8 Final in November 2024 in Malaga, Spain.
The tennis player who has occupied the number one world aged 38 years will appear with four other names, namely Carlos Alcaraz, Roberto Bautista Agut, Pablo Carreno Busta, and Marcel Granolers.
Nadal has not competed since the 2024 Paris Olympics. At that time, this 22-time Grand Slam champion returned home in the men's singles second round after losing to Novak Djokovic.
He also packed a suitcase in the quarter-finals of double numbers with his colleague Alcaraz, who is currently ranked third in the world ranking ATP.
After appearing in France, Nadal decided to withdraw from the US Open 2024 event in August and last week's Laver Cup in Berlin, Germany, due to fitness problems.

"I don't think I will be able to give 100 percent of my capabilities at this time," Nadal wrote on his social media regarding the decision to withdraw from the US Open 2024.
Nadal has continued to struggle with injury since winning his last Grand Slam trophy at Roland Garros clay in 2022.
In the men's singles history, Nadal still holds the record as the owner of the most titles at Roland Garros. In total, he won 14 Grand Slam titles there.
The Davis Cup is a tournament that Nadal has won four times. He won the event in his 2004 debut, then three titles after that were obtained in 2009, 2011, and 2019.
The 2024 Davis Cup will take place from 19-24 November 2024 at the Martin Carpenter Arena. The other seven countries that took part were Italy, Argentina, the United States, Australia, Germany, Canada, and the Netherlands.
