Fufufafa, Sneaky But Got Caught in the End

JAKARTA – The Fufufafa account has been in the public spotlight and has been continuously discussed for almost two weeks, until it went viral on social media X. Although evidence related to the owner of this account has begun to emerge, the cyber police and Gibran Rakabuming Raka have not yet made a statement. Meanwhile, there have been attempts by certain individuals to delete thousands of tweets from the Fufufafa account.

In Javanese tradition, there is an ancient proverb "Sluman-slumun Slamet" which is often interpreted as someone's success in achieving a goal secretly, without anyone else knowing. Although his actions were not visible, he still achieved his goal safely. This expression comes from the Arabic phrase "Salamun 'Ala Mursalin" which means a request for safety for the Apostles and Prophets. The word "Slamet" itself comes from the Arabic "Salaam", which means safe or secure.

The meaning of this proverb is actually very deep. It describes a person's efforts to achieve safety and success through prayer and actions that do not need to be announced openly. Usually, this proverb is said by people when they are going to travel or work, with the hope that what is done, even if secretly, is still for the good. However, such actions should not be for bad purposes, such as deceiving the public, as is now associated with the Fufufafa account.

Because the efforts made by this account are more visible as an attempt to hide traces and eliminate evidence, many netizens refer to their actions as "Sluman-sluman ora Slamet". This means that even though there is a secret effort to cover up the tracks, it is still eventually uncovered and fails, not safe from public attention.

Fufufafa "Cetar Membahana"

The term "cetar membahana" was popular in 2012-2013, when it was often used by singer Syahrini on social media and television shows. This phrase then became part of the slang used by many people, especially young people. In addition, Syahrini also created terms such as "sesuatu banget" (another level) and "manja lemes" (cuddly), which also became trends.

Telematics expert Roy Suryo assessed that Syahrini's creativity and uniqueness made her popular with many people, including the owner of the anonymous account Fufufafa. According to Roy, the owner of this account is 99.9 percent Gibran Rakabuming Raka (GRR).

"An example of an inappropriate Fufufafa post related to Syahrini can be seen in the screenshot from Kaskus on Monday, September 15, 2014, at 10:14 a.m., which reads 'Pin ssnya Syahrini'," Roy explained to VOI, Tuesday, September 24.

Roy also added that Gibran's interest in Syahrini had been apparent for a long time. In an interview with kumparan seven years ago, Gibran unknowingly mentioned Syahrini's name when discussing his younger brother, Kaesang Pangarep's, purchase of discounted shoes at Grand Indonesia. This moment was recorded in a video titled "A Day with the President's Son" which can be accessed on YouTube. In the first minute, 14th second, Gibran mentioned "Preloved Syahrini" even though it had nothing to do with artists or music, but rather discounted shoes.

Roy also explained that other evidence supports this allegation. Applications such as TrueCaller, CallerId, and GetContact show that a phone number known to belong to Gibran (+6289750xxx33) is connected to names such as GRR, Chilli-Pari, and "Cust Syahrini Kutai". Although it is unclear whether the name refers to the real Syahrini or is just a coincidence, this fact still shows a connection to the name Syahrini.

This scientific finding is supported by the opinions of netizens and cyber experts, such as M. Salahuddin Manggalanny alias Didien, who stated that the Fufufafa, Chilli_Pari, and GRR accounts have the same email and phone number. In a YouTube video on the SA channel titled "Fufufafa Serangan Opponent Politik atau Publik yang Muak", Didien firmly stated that GRR is the owner of the Fufufafa account. This evidence was further strengthened when Gibran's official Twitter account shared a screenshot of the Fufufafa account before it was finally deleted.
