Canadian PM Trudeau: The Murder Of Women And Children In Lebanon Is Very Concerned
JAKARTA - Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau said the killings of women and children in Lebanon were "very concerning". Canada called on Israel and Hezbollah to defuse their conflict.
"Violence must be stopped. The deaths of women and children in Lebanon are very concerning," Trudeau told reporters in New York, while attending the UN General Assembly.
"We need to ensure that there is a deescalation, both by Israel and Hezbollah. We need to protect the lives of civilians. We need to ensure that we move towards peace and stability throughout the region," continued Trudeau.

The death toll from Israeli airstrikes targeting Lebanon's Hezbollah has now reached 558, including 50 children and 94 women.
"We are still at war and are still in an attack upheaval. Our responsibility is not over yet," said Lebanese Health Minister Firass Abiad as quoted by CNN, Tuesday, September 24.
Among those killed were four first aid officers, Abiad said. It was also reported that 14 ambulances and fire engines had been hit by Israeli troops.
In total, 1,835 people were injured as a result of the attack in just one day.
Israeli attacks also forced thousands of people to flee their homes, especially in southern Lebanon.
Meanwhile, it was reported that six people were killed and 15 others injured as a result of an Israeli attack on the Ghobeery area on the southern suburbs of Beirut on Tuesday, September 24.
Lebanese Ministry of Health said the figure was preliminary information and estimated the number of victims could still increase.
