Latest Data On Israeli Attacks On Lebanon: 558 People Died Including 50 Children

JAKARTA - The death toll from Israeli airstrikes targeting Lebanon's Hezbollah now stands at 558, including 50 children and 94 women.

"We are still at war and are still in an attack upheaval. Our responsibility is not over yet," said Lebanese Health Minister Firass Abiad as quoted by CNN, Tuesday, September 24.

Among those killed were four first aid officers, Abiad said. It was also reported that 14 ambulances and fire engines had been hit by Israeli forces.

In total, 1,835 people were injured as a result of the attack in just one day.

Israeli attacks also forced thousands of people to flee their homes, especially in southern Lebanon.

The number of people displaced in the country over the past 24 hours, from areas affected by Israeli attacks, has reached 16,500 people, Nasser Yassine, the Lebanese government's emergency preparedness coordinator, told CNN.

Yassine said 150 schools were used to accommodate refugees throughout Lebanon.
