Israeli Air Attack Hits Beirut, Targets Hezbollah Commander

JAKARTA - Israeli airstrikes targeted a Hezbollah commander on the southern suburbs of Beirut, two security sources in Lebanon said.

Israel attacked the territory controlled by Hezbollah in the Lebanese capital for the second day in a row.

The source refused to identify who was the target of the attack and said his fate was unknown.

The Israeli military said it was launching a targeted attack in Beirut, but gave no further details.

Airstrikes hit buildings in the Ghobeiry neighborhood which are usually busy. One of the security sources shared a photo showing damage on the top floor of the five-story building.
