Police Name 3 Suspects Of Ownership Of Sajam Related To Finding 7 Bodies In Kali Bekasi

Head of Public Relations of Polda Metro Jaya Kombes Ade Ary Syam Indradi explained that there were three people named as suspects from 22 teenagers who were arrested in connection with the discovery of seven bodies in Kali Bekasi, Jatiasih, Bekasi City, on Sunday (22/9) morning.

"Three suspects were named on suspicion of possession of sharp weapons, and the three were detained by the Bekasi City Metro Police," he said as quoted by ANTARA, Monday, September 23.

Ade Ary explained that the chronology of the determination of the three suspects occurred when the Precision Pioneer Patrol Team visited the location where they gathered around Jalan Cipendawa in bed or hut in front of a cement company in Jatiasih, Bekasi City, West Java, on Saturday (21/9).

"In the process of visiting the crowd, which is suspected to be the location of the brawl, 22 people were arrested, 21 people were directly secured by the Bekasi City Metro Police patrol officers and one person was arrested by a security guard around the crime scene," he said.

Then during the detention, three of the 22 people who were arrested had been named as suspects by the Bekasi City Metro Police Satreskrim investigators with the suspicion of carrying sharp weapons without rights.

However, Ade Ary could not confirm whether other than the three suspects were still being detained or had been sent home.

"Maybe there are still those who are being investigated, what is clear (the rest) are not named suspects," he said.

Meanwhile, regarding the number of witnesses being examined, Ade Ary explained that he had examined a number of witnesses, starting with the teenagers involved, security guards at the crime scene, and members of the patrol.

"The investigation is still ongoing, so yesterday the investigation carried out by the Bekasi City Metro Police Satreskrim on 22 people, then there was one security guard, so 23. Meanwhile, the 9 pioneering patrol officers will be investigated internally by Propam, after completion the pioneering patrol team will be examined by the Satreskrim investigation team, so let's hold it later," he explained.

Meanwhile, the Head of the Criminal Investigation Unit (Kasat Reskrim) of the Bekasi City Metro Police, Kompol Audy Joize Oroh, explained that of the 22 people, some of the witnesses who had been questioned had already been sent home.

"Because his family has been picked up and we also urge his family to give a kind of warning to report a kind of appeal to their children not to repeat what their child did," he said.

However, Audy did not specify how many witnesses had been sent home and how many were still being held at the Bekasi City Metro Police.

Previously, residents found seven bodies floating in Bekasi River, to be precise behind the Al Ikhlas Mosque Pondok Gede Permai Housing RT004/RW008, Jatirasa, Jatiasih, Bekasi City on Sunday (22/9) morning at 06.00 WIB and reported at 07.00 WIB.

The police said the discovery of the seven bodies was allegedly due to a brawl. Moreover, at that time the police were on patrol to prevent the incident.
