Bitget Gaet La Liga To Encourage Crypto Adoption In Asia And Latin America

JAKARTA - Bitget recently announced a multimillion-dollar partnership with Spanish iconic football league La Liga. The announcement was made at Singapore's 2049 Token event, making Bitget the official partner of the La Liga crypto. This collaboration aims to expand crypto adoption in the Asian and Latin American regions, two regions with a huge football fan base.

In an official statement on September 19, Bitget said that this partnership is part of its efforts to strengthen its presence in Asia and Latin America. La Liga, which is home to well-known clubs such as Real Madrid and Barcelona, has millions of fans worldwide, including in Asia and Latin America. The legendary match between the two clubs was reportedly witnessed by more than 650 million people in more than 180 countries.

Bitget hopes its partnership with La Liga will encourage crypto adoption among football fans, taking advantage of the popularity of star players such as Kylian Mbappe, Vin▁Utamacius Jr., and Robert Lewandowski. With a follower base of nearly 27 million on social media, Bitget believes that indirect associations with these players will provide a large platform to introduce crypto.

According to a recent Chainalysis report, 13 of the top 20 countries in crypto adoption are in Asia and Latin America. India, Indonesia, and Vietnam are leading in Asia, while Brazil, Venezuela, and Mexico are the main countries in Latin America. Interestingly, these countries are also known to have fanatical support for football. The Nielsen 2022 survey shows that Vietnam, Indonesia, and Thailand have a high percentage of people interested in football in Asia.

This partnership is expected to last up to three years, and is part of the Bitget 'Make It Count' philosophy to raise awareness about crypto through sports. By working with La Liga, Bitget hopes to introduce Web3 solutions to millions of football fans, especially in developing markets.

Quoted from Crypto Potato, CEO of Bitget, Gracy Chen, stated that this partnership with La Liga is more than just an ordinary sponsor. This is about accelerating crypto adoption in the world of sports and creating exciting opportunities for fans and athletes. We see sport as a strong way to spread awareness about Web3 technology and blockchain," he said.

A report from Doors3 recently showed that 75% of sports fans are interested in more personal and exclusive experiences, something that can be offered through technologies such as Non-Fungible Tokens (NFT). This innovation, previously adopted by La Liga, allows fans to virtually interact with their favorite clubs, grant voting rights in club affairs, to access exclusive digital content.
