Move On From Failure At The Emilia Romagna Circuit, Jorge Martin Shifts Focus To The Mandalika MotoGP

JAKARTA - Pramac Racing racer Jorge Martin does not want to be involved in the defeat suffered at MotoGP Emilia Romagna last weekend. Instead of thinking about that fate, he chose to shift his focus to the upcoming series at the Mandalika MotoGP.

Jorge Martin admitted that he could not hide his annoyance after losing controversially in the 2024 Emilia Romagna MotoGP race which took place at the Misano Circuit, Sunday, September 22, 2024.

The Spaniard felt he should have won in the series. Because of the maneuvers made by Bastianini, he had to lose the moment. He was too wide in the fourth corner.

However, Martin did not want to get involved in the disappointment. He chose to shift his focus on the 2024 Mandalika MotoGP which is one of the most preferred trajectories.

"I will try to focus on positive things. I think my motorbike speed is amazing, very good. So, I am happy with the performance of my motorbike and feel strong enough to compete in Indonesia."

"I really like the track and really like going there," Jorge Martin said, as quoted from Crash on Monday, September 23, 2024.

Despite finishing as runner-up in the Emilia Romagna MotoGP series, Jorge Martin still leads the 2024 MotoGP standings because his gains are still 24 points ahead of his closest rival, Francesco Bagnaia.

After completing the race at MotoGP Emilia Romagna, Martin has ambitions to reach the first podium in Indonesia to smooth the way to the 2024 MotoGP world champion.

"I'm going to try to focus on my own race. There's a lot of annoying sounds from outside as usual."

"So, finally I have a little more advantage. Let's focus on making it a little stronger. If I don't make a fatal mistake, I think I can win the next race (Mandalika MotoGP)," said Jorge Martin.

The Mandalika 2024 MotoGP will take place at the Mandalika Circuit, Lombok, Indonesia, on September 29, 2024. The agenda will be the 12th series for the 2024 MotoGP.
