Coordinating Minister For Political, Legal And Security Affairs Says National Data Centers While 2 Surabaya Have Been Hacked Will Be Used Again
Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal and Security Affairs (Menkopolhukam) Hadi Tjahjanto said the Temporary National Data Center (PDNS) 2 that had been hacked would still be used.
He said it was done based on a request from a number of tenants to continue using the digital facility. So far, he has confirmed that PDNS 2 Surabaya has recovered 100 percent from hacking disturbances.
"Because of the desire from tenants to continue to use PDNS 2, we are building a system at PDNS 2 Surabaya. And in September, it was finished yesterday," said Hadi after attending a working meeting with Commission I of the DPR RI at the Parliament Complex, Jakarta, Monday, September 23, which was confiscated by Antara.
That way, according to him, PDNS 2 Surabaya will remain active as a data center to serve the community. He said that PDNS 2 Surabaya had recovered 100 percent since last August 8.
In addition, he said the government was also building PDNS 1 in Serpong, Tangerang. By continuing to migrate data from Surabaya to Serpong, he hopes that by October everything will be finished.
According to him, PDNS 1 Serpong was built by implementing a layered back up using mirroring facilities in Sentul, Bogor. In the event of an attack, the two facilities can support each other to be able to continue to serve the community.
