Entering The 7th Day, The Search For Bandung Students Drowning On Cemara Beach, Cianjur Stopped
The joint SAR team stopped the search for students from Bandung Joeraimi (17) who had drowned on Cemara Beach, Cidaun District, Cianjur, West Java.
Cidaun Police Chief Ipu Yudi Heryanadi said the search was stopped after seven days of surgery to no avail.
"Until the seventh day the victim's body has not been found, although the search has been expanded to a radius of 12 kilometers, so the joint team has agreed to stop the search because it is in accordance with Standard Operational Procedures (SOP)," he said when contacted in Cianjur, Monday, September 23, was confiscated by Antara.
Entering the last day of the search on Sunday, September 22, his party decreased by 10 boats assisted by dozens of fishing boats from various beaches in the southern region with the hope that the victim's body could be found and the search expanded to the middle of the sea.
Before the search was stopped, the joint team had informed the family regarding the search effort for a maximum of seven days.
"We have informed you that the search ends on the seventh day, then we ask residents and fishermen to immediately notify the local officers or officials if they find the victim's body," he said.

As reported, the Joint SAR team is searching for a student named Joerami, a resident of Regol District, Bandung City, who was reported missing by the current while swimming at Cidamar Beach, Monday, September 16.
Head of the Cianjur Basarnas Andikan Zein said that his party received reports from residents and the Cidaun Police regarding the two tourists who were lost by the current while swimming on the beach, one person on behalf of Rafan managed to survive.
"Meanwhile, one other person was carried away by the current to the middle, so that the residents and joint officers consisted of members of the Cidaun Police, Cidaun Koramil, Retana, and residents, had difficulty finding the victim's body," he said.
Currently, joint officers are still searching for the victim's body, which is thought to have been carried away by the current to the center by involving local fishermen in the hope that it can be found soon.
