Bad Weather For Slipknot Performance At Knotfest 2024 Anticlimaks

JAKARTA - Slipknot again held the 2024 Knotfest at Iowa on September 21. Unfortunately, the event that took place from noon was hampered by bad weather.

At 11.30 pm, the festival, which was initiated by Slipknot, was opened with the action of Holy Wars. From the start the weather seemed unfavorable so the committee made adjustments to the runway.

The changes also include Slipknot, which is scheduled to perform at 9 pm. Their performance hours are accelerated to keep the festival running smoothly.

"Due to the upcoming bad weather threat, the rundown has been adjusted to accommodate all measures for the best experience. Bying Wish-18.00; Till Lindemann - 18.30; GWAR - 19.00; SLIPKNOT - 8 p.m.," the statement said on social media.

Everything went quite smoothly until Slipknot finally went on stage. Had performed 11 songs in 60 minutes, the event was stopped for security reasons.

Slipknot's appearance is also anticlimactic, because there are still some encore songs stored, aka the setlist is not complete. However, this step was taken not only to protect the audience, but also to the performers.

"Unfortunately, today's weather is not supportive, and it's time to stop the activity. Please get out of the park slowly and get home safely. Thank you for joining us at the Iowa Knotfest," the committee said in a statement.

The Iowa Knotfest not only presents concert stages with various performance bands, but also an interesting experience for Slipknot fans. Visitors can circle the Slipknot Museum, an exhibition created with immersive experience, featuring stories and memorabilia of the rock band from Iowa.
