Five Teenagers In A Brawl In Kebon Jeruk Arrested By Police

JAKARTA - The Metro Jaya Police Precision Pioneer Patrol Team together with the Criminal Investigation Team of the Kebon Jeruk Police arrested five teenagers suspected of having a brawl on Jalan Panjang Arterial Kelapa Dua, Kebon Jeruk, West Jakarta, on Saturday at around 04.30 WIB.

Kebon Jeruk Police Chief Kompol Sutrisno explained that it started with a report by the Metro Jaya Police Precise Pioneer Patrol Team and residents regarding the actions of a group of teenagers who were troubling because they gathered and had a convoy using motorbikes.

"After receiving information from the patrol team and residents, we immediately moved to the location and found the teenagers gathered around Jalan Panjang Arterial Kelapa Dua, allegedly going to a brawl," said Kompol Sutrisno in a statement in Jakarta, Saturday, September 21.

The patrol carried out by the Kebon Jeruk Police in the early hours of the morning was aimed at preventing disturbances in security and order, especially from brawls that often occur in the area.

Immediately, officers immediately dispersed the group of teenagers and secured them to the Kebon Jeruk Police Headquarters for further questioning.

The Head of Criminal Investigation Unit of the Kebon Jeruk Police, AKP Subartoyo, explained that these teenagers were very disturbing because apart from gathering on the road, they also carried sharp weapons.

"We managed to secure a 122 cm long sickle which is suspected to be used in the brawl." he said.

Based on the results of the investigation, the police have determined one person who was proven to be carrying and controlling the sharp weapon type of sickle with the initials AD (17).

Meanwhile, the other four arrested teenagers will receive guidance. The police will also call the parents and school from the teenager.

One teenager who has been proven to have brought and controlled sharp weapons in this action will then be subject to the Emergency Law (UUDrt) Number 12 of 1951, especially Article 2 paragraph (1).
