Wuling Ensures EV Battery Production In Indonesia Starts At The End Of This Year

JAKARTA - In order to build an EV ecosystem in Indonesia, Wuling Motors announced that it plans to produce a local electric vehicle battery called MAGIC Battery.

This is a tangible manifestation of a manufacturer from China in playing an active role for the Indonesian automotive industry, as well as offering a safer and more comfortable future mobility for the Indonesian people.

Marketing Operation Director of Wuling Motors Liu Yan, said that his party will produce EV batteries by the end of 2024.

Wuling will continue its steps to produce the Wuling EV battery in Indonesia by the end of 2024. This step is a form of our commitment to participate in building an environmentally friendly ecosystem in Indonesia and increasing comfort and calm for every EV Wuling owner," Liu Yan said in his statement, Saturday, September 21.

The name MAGIC Battery stands for M as Multifunction Unitize Structure Technology, A is Advanced Cell Safety, G is Greater Performance, I represents Intelligent Management, and C for Combustion Free.

Multifunction Unitized Structure Technology (MUST) which is inspired by aircraft wing design. In general, structures, side panels, and cooling layers are 3 different components. However, MAGIC Battery integrates these three parts into one functional part, forming a very light and high-power battery structure.

MAGIC Battery contains advanced battery cells (Advanced Cell Safety). Called advanced cell safety due to increased structure in battery cells including the use of ceramic layers as low heat conductors. So that it can minimize the occurrence of constituents, leaks, evaporation to excess heat.

By applying MUST and Advanced Cell Safety, MAGIC Battery's capabilities have increased (Greater Performance) both in terms of performance and safety levels.

This system combines two smart sources to monitor battery conditions. The first is the High Precision Battery Management System (BMS) which can monitor in real-time. The second is that Cloud-based AI can monitor 240 security surveillance and more than 80 alerts in case of an error. This smart management ensures that batteries can be monitored with high accuracy throughout their life cycle, thus providing comprehensive security for users.
