AISMOLI Will Hold Conversion Electric Motorcycle Racing In Sentul
JAKARTA - The Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM) supports the 2024 Conversion Electric Motorcycle Racing (EV Motor Conversion Race 2024) initiated by the Electric Motorcycle Industry Association (AISMOLI), on Sunday, September 22 at Sentul Karting International Circuit.
This motorcycle race was held to echo the resilience of the converted electric motorcycle.
"The purpose of the EV Motor Conversion Race 2024 is to increase public interest and show the reliability of electric motorcycles resulting from conversions that are not inferior to conventional motorcycles (Internal Combustion Engine/ICE) so as to create confidence (trust) in conversion products," said Head of the Communication Bureau, Public Information Service, and Cooperation (KLIK) of the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources Agus Cahyono Adi in his statement to the media, Saturday, September 21.
Agus said that this conversion electric motorcycle race will compete in three categories, namely EV Race or electric motorcycle racing on the asphalt track, to show the performance of the converted electric motorcycle. Then there is the EV endurance category, or the endurance race for 2 hours, to prove that the electric motor produced from the conversion is durable and resistant to use.
"In the third category, there is a coverion competition, namely a live competition for the conversion of fuel motorcycles into electric motorcycles for SMK and Mechanics," added Agus.
The EV Converton Race 2024 will take place in 2 rounds, namely on Sundays 22 September 2024 and 13 October 2024. This conversion electric motorcycle race is the first in the world and the Indonesian Motor Association (IMI) has adopted the 2024 Conversion Electric Motorcycle Racing Technical Regulation as a Standard Rule.

"We are also collaborating with PT PLN (Persero) to make this program a success, including ensuring reliability in terms of electric charging," explained Agus.
For the next event every year, the Conversion Electric Motorcycle Racing is an official class of the National Motorcycle Racing Championship and can be held in all regions in Indonesia?
The government itself continues to strengthen its commitment to encouraging the use of environmentally friendly vehicles by introducing new policies to increase public interest in the conversion program of electric motors. This policy includes increasing the provision of incentives of IDR 10 million, simplifying the conversion process, and increasing supporting infrastructure.
