12 Tangerang Workers Alliance Express Support For Andra Soni-Dimyati In The 2024 Banten Pilkada

A total of 12 Alliances of Workers Unions in Tangerang City have officially declared their support for the candidate pair for Governor and Deputy Governor of Banten, Andra Soni and Dimyati Natakusumah, in the 2024 Banten Pilkada. The declaration, which was held on Friday, September 20, 2024, took place at the Ballroom Hotel Fisherman's Palace, Jatiuwung.

The union alliance that supports the Andra Soni-Dimyati pair includes various large labor organizations such as the KSPSI DPC, FSP KEP DPC, FSP LEM DPC, FSP RTMM DPC, FSP TSK DPC, FSP NIBA DPC, PAREKRAF FSP, KAUT FSP DPC, PPMI FSP DPC, KASBI DPC, KSBSI GARTEX DPC, and FSPI DPC.

In the declaration, Puji Sulistiyo Tuhu, SH led the reading of the declaration script, which was submitted by Dedi Sudarajat, SH, MH, MM, CTA, the Tangerang City Labor Axis Presidium, to the candidate for governor Andra Soni. This support was received enthusiastically by Andra Soni, who symbolically wore campaign t-shirts to the leaders of the union.

Dedi Sudarajat emphasized that real changes in Banten Province can be realized through fair leadership and caring for the welfare of workers. "We are sure, together with Andra Soni and Dimyati, there will be significant changes in Banten, especially regarding labor rights and social justice," said Dedi.

The Andra Soni-Dimyati pair is known for their flagship programs such as Free Schools that are highly anticipated by workers. This program is expected to be able to ease the economic burden on workers, especially in the education of their children.

Andra Soni, who is a former chairman of the Banten Provincial DPRD, expressed his gratitude for the support provided by the trade union alliance. "I am committed to fighting for the welfare of workers and building a more advanced, fair and corruption-free Banten," Andra said in his remarks.

Andra also shared his personal experience as a former laborer, which gave him an in-depth understanding of the challenges faced by the working class. "I was once a laborer after graduating from high school, and I understand very well the struggles faced by the workers. Therefore, I will continue to fight with the workers to create better Banten," he added.
