On the same occasion, the Head of BPOM Taruna Ikrar said, if fish milk is safe, of good quality and according to standards, later BPOM will not complicate the issuance of distribution permits.
Moreover, he said, fish milk has high protein.
"I think if we meet the requirements, there will be no issues. I don't think we need to widen the discussion, we just give it (distribution permit). I don't think there will be any problems from BPOM. But, later the procedure will certainly follow according to standards," he said.
According to the cadets, the problem of utilizing fish milk for greater interests will later become the authority of the ministry or the institution that uses it.
"So I think this is part of innovative medicine or food. We don't fortune new things. So, BPOM's commitment is something that is innovative and beneficial for many people and is guaranteed to be safe, so the POM will speed up the process," he added.
