Determination Of The 2024 Regional Election Paslon This Week, KPU Coordination With The Police
The General Election Commission (KPU) coordinated with the National Police ahead of the determination of a candidate pair for the 2024 Regional Head Election (Pilkada) on Sunday 22 September.
Chairman of the Indonesian KPU Mochammad Afifuddin said his agency had coordinated with all levels of police at all levels.
"We also received notifications, for example, areas where the KPU office is considered limited for activities that invite many people," Afif said at a press conference at the KPU RI Office, Jakarta, Friday, September 20, which was confiscated by Antara.
In addition, the Indonesian KPU advised the regional KPU to look for a more representative place when its office did not allow it to accommodate many people when the candidate pair was determined to run in the 2024 Simultaneous Pilkada.
This is also a recommendation from the police for security reasons. "It also anticipates situations that we don't want," he said.
