Police Arrest Gang Of Shophouse Specialist Robbers Who Went Viral In Action In Pulogadung

JAKARTA - The police arrested five members of a gang of shop robbers who specialize in shop houses that had gone viral while in action at coffee shops and cakes in the Pulogadung area, East Jakarta.

Head of Public Relations of Polda Metro Jaya Kombes Ade Ary Syam Indradi said the gang of robbers could be arrested in less than 24 hours because their actions were caught on CCTV cameras.

"In less than 24 hours, our colleagues from the Resmob Sub-Directorate of the Ditreskrimum Polda Metro Jaya managed to reveal it," Ade told reporters, Friday, September 20.

The five gang members had the initials FF, HS, AP, AN, and A. They were arrested in different locations.

The first suspect arrested on September 16, namely FF who is the mastermind of the crime. Because, he determines the target.

"The main perpetrator was arrested by FF's brother or FP and arrested at a cafe in Bekasi, FF. His role in driving a car was used around to find the location of the target shop," he said.

"The role of FF is also to market the stolen goods to social media. Namely, Facebook is buying and selling coffee machines and this suspect also carries out surveillance of his colleague who committed the theft," added Ade.

Then the next suspects arrested were HS and AP. They were arrested in Gang Makmur, Penggilingan Village, Cakung.

HS plays a role in planning theft, preparing tools to commit crimes. Not only that, he is also the executor.

"Then at the crime scene they unplugged the front fence lock, pryed the door using a crowbar and took the items and then assisted by his close friend AP, the suspect AP played a role in monitoring the location and unloading the stolen items to their location," he said.

One hour later, two other suspects, namely AN and A, were arrested. They are also the executors of the theft.

"AN'S role was to pry open the door using a crowbar, open the front fence and take things then brother A's role was to open the front fence slot, open the front fence, pry the shop with a crowbar and take things," said Ade.

Meanwhile, the items they managed to take from the store included machines and coffee PRInders, microwaves, gas cylinders, modems, CCTV monitors, and cash amounting to Rp700 thousand.

"So that the victim suffered a loss of Rp. 31 million," said Ade.
