Pramono Doesn't Matter If Jokowi Appoints A New Cabinet Outside PDIP
JAKARTA - Former Cabinet Secretary (Seskab) Pramono Anung admitted that there was no problem if President Joko Widodo arrested a new Cabinet Secretary to replace him outside the PDIP cadre.
Moreover, the former Secretary General of the PDIP who is now a candidate for governor of Jakarta said that President Jokowi's leadership only lasted about one more month, before Prabowo Subianto was sworn in.
"Oh, that's okay. It's only 20 days from now," said Pramono after the separation with Cabinet Secretariat (Setkab) employees at Krida Bhakti building, Central Jakarta, Friday, September 20.
Jokowi signed the Presidential Decree (Keppres) regarding the Dismissal of Pramono Anung from his current position as Cabinet Secretary as of Thursday, September 19.
For the time being, Jokowi appointed Minister of State Secretary Pratikno to be Acting (Plt) Seskab until there were definitive officials. Pramono believes Pratikno can carry out the duties of Seskab until it is finished.
"I'm sure, because the Plt has been appointed, then Plt will solve this," said Pramono.
In today's farewell ceremony with the Cabinet Secretariat employees, Pramono could not hold back his tears. The Cabinet Secretary, who served from 2015 to September 19, 2024, admitted that he had a strong bond with the Setkab employees.
"During my two terms leading this Cabinet Secretary, I was very close to all staff, employees, officials in the Cabinet. Indeed, I work to give my heart and at the same time to change the existing paradigm," said Pramono.

Pramono emphasized that he was still in good relations with Jokowi during his tenure as Cabinet Secretary. Although, Jokowi's relationship with PDIP had heated up due to differences in political attitudes in the 2024 presidential election.
"I have very good relations with the President and Vice President. Even when his relationship with the party that is close to me is different, I continue to communicate well and openly," he said.
After registering as a candidate for governor, Pramono has indeed planned to resign. However, the former Secretary General of the PDIP still has to complete the task of Jokowi who cannot be left behind.
After Jokowi signed his letter of dismissal as Seskab, Pramono claimed to focus on running a campaign with the prospective Deputy Governor Rano Karno.
"I can now work fully, or have full time to do socialization together with Bang Doel," he added.
