IKN Opens To The Public Starting September 16, Visit Hours Until 17.00 WITA
JAKARTA - The Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR) announced that the capital city of Nusantara (IKN) will reopen for visits starting Monday, September 16, 2024.
The visit hours are set for Monday to Sunday at 09.00-17.00 WITA for 300 visitors per day.
"The capital city of Nusantara (IKN) has reopened for public visits, you know. Starting September 16, 2024, friends can visit every day from 09.00-17.00 WITA to Plaza Ceremony and Taman Kusuma Bangsa Nusantara," wrote the official Instagram of the Ministry of PUPR @kemenpupr quoted Friday, September 20.
There are provisions that visitors need to comply with. First, prospective visitors must download the IKNOW application for registration available on Google Play and the App Store.
After the list, visitors can come to IKN and gather at the predetermined point.
"The parking point for visitor vehicles as well as the initial gathering point for visits to the Nusantara Central Government Core Area (KIPP) is in the IKN and Trunen Intersection areas," explained PUPR.
At the visitor gathering point, it is mandatory to show valid IKNOW registration evidence to Liaison Officer (LO) officers.
After the inspection, visitors accompanied by LO traveled by Electric Vehicle (EV) bus to Plaza Ceremony and Taman Kusuma Bangsa, this trip was taken with a duration of 10 minutes.
"Visitors will go down at the Road Way (RW) 44 Bus Stop where visitors can visit both Plaza Ceremony in the east and Kusuma Bangsa Park in the west," he explained.
At the Plaza Ceremony, visitors can enjoy various facilities such as Mini Amphitheater, Forest Trail, Retail Gallery and Visitor Center.
In Kusuma Bangsa Park, visitors can also see a number of important landmarks from a distance such as the Office of the Coordinating Ministry, Garuda Palace, State Palace and Plaza Ceremony
"Visitors can return to the rest area/Simpang Trunen using an EV bus that passes the RW 4 stop every 15 minutes," he added.
