Viral Motorbike Gangs Rummage through Cibadak Sukabumi Market, Police Intervene

SUKABUMI - Cibadak Police personnel assisted by the Sukabumi Police are hunting for a gang suspected of being members of a motorcycle gang that attacked Cibadak Market, Sukabumi Regency, West Java on Thursday, September 19.

"We are currently investigating a viral video case on social media showing Cibadak Market being attacked by a number of sharp gunmen suspected of being members of a motorcycle gang," said Cibadak Police Chief AKP Idji Djurudi as quoted by ANTARA, Friday, September 20.

According to Idji, he has not been able to provide further information regarding the chronology and motive of the attack case and currently the personnel of the Criminal Investigation Unit (Reskrim) of the Cibadak Police, assisted by the Sukabumi Police Criminal Investigation Unit, are investigating the anarchist actions carried out by a group of youths.

In addition, asking for information from market residents, both traders and parking attendants, because in the video it was seen that members of the motorcycle gang had chased the Cibadak Market parking attendant. However, his party does not yet know whether the target of the attack was a parking attendant or there were other parties.

The identities of the perpetrators have been pocketed and it is hoped that in the near future the perpetrators of the attack can be caught soon so that the motive can be known.

According to information gathered, the incident by a group of sharp gunmen was experienced by Ripal Padilah (19), a resident of Delima Village, Cibadak Village/District, Sukabumi Regency while guarding the parking lot in the Cibadak Market area.

The young man who was on duty guarding the parking lot was then visited by three of his colleagues. While chatting, suddenly from Jalan Raya Cibadak-Cicurug, a number of motorbikes came whose passengers then got off while brandishing sharp weapons.

Seeing the incident, Ripal and several people who were with him immediately fled into the Cibadak Market area.

At that time, my colleagues and I were working to guard the parking lot, suddenly a number of youths who were carrying sharp weapons entered the parking area of Cibadak Market. We suspect the culprit is a motorcycle gang," said Ripal.

However, he did not know and from which motorcycle gang carried out the attack. For the number of perpetrators of the attack that he saw, there were six people, they brought Katana and sickles. As a result of the incident, a number of motorbikes belonging to his parked colleagues were damaged.
