Japanese School Student Stabbed In China Shenzhen Dies
JAKARTA - Japanese school student in the Chinese city of Shenzhen, died after being stabbed. This stabbing incident is the second attack near Japan's education center in China in recent months.
Chinese authorities say the 10-year-old boy is a Japanese citizen born to a Japanese father and mother of Chinese nationality.
The victim was stabbed on his way to school at around 8 am on Wednesday, September 18 by a 44-year-old man.
"The victim died in the early hours of Thursday, September 19," Japanese Foreign Minister Yoko Kamikawa said.
"Medical experts are making every effort to save his life, and the Chinese side will provide the necessary assistance to his family to take care of his business," said Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Lin Jian.
"According to the information currently available, this is an individual case and a similar incident can occur in any country," he added.

On Thursday afternoon, people laid wreaths at the school gate in the Shekou area, Shenzhen.
"As Chinese citizens, we oppose this behavior, we oppose the teachings of hatred," said the man from Shenzhen.
"Many of us have long been under the teachings of hatred which have had bad consequences," he added.
