BMW I5 Touring Officially Enters Indonesia, Price Above IDR 2 Billion

JAKARTA - BMW Group Indonesia has officially brought its first wagon-style electric car to the Indonesian market, i5 Touring. The presence of this model also continues the company's steps in presenting more environmentally friendly vehicles in the country.

Managing Director of BMW Group Asia Lars Nielsen, said that the car has a progressive design by prioritizing a sophisticated system to provide convenience for its users.

"BMW i5 Touring presents the latest digital innovation, a leading system for auto driving and parking, as well as an increase in sustainability throughout the product life cycle," Nielsen said in his statement, Thursday, September 19.

This wagon-style model has a wider proportion with a length of 5,060 mm, a width of 1,900 mm, and a height of 1,515 mm.

The front has a similar design to its sedan version with double headlights and BMW-type kidney grip. On the back, i5 Touring has a strong look with a flat window while at the same time confirming the dimensions of the vehicle's width.

Moving to the interior, BMW i5 Touring has a cockpit focused on drivers with the BMW Curved Display system consisting of a 12.3-inch information screen and 14.9-inch display control.

Premium impressions mixed with sporty accents are also presented on the inside with the latest sport seat, flat-bottomed steering, and BMW Interaction Bar.

Carrying a European-style wagon design, of course the volume of baggage on this car is wider than the sedan version. BMW i5 Touring has a trunk area of 1,700 liters so it fits in a variety of items for various travel needs.

State-of-the-art features are also presented in this car, such as semi-automatic parking and qualified ADAS from the Driving Assistant Professionals developed by BMW, including Lane Control Assist and Parking Assistant Plus.

BMW Group Indonesia provides the i5 eDrive40 Touring variant which has an electric drive of 340 dk and a 430 Nm torque capable of accelerating from 0 to 100 km/hour in 6.1 seconds with the highest speed of up to 193 km/hour.

Then, this wagon car has a battery with a capacity of 84.3 kWh which is able to reach up to 500 km in the WLTP cycle.

The battery can charge in an AC charging device capable of 11 kW and a DC fast-charging system of up to 205 kW.
