OPPO Find X8 And Xiaomi 15 Series Come With Magnetic Wireless Charging Technology

JAKARTA - Android devices appear to be progressing soon in wireless charging technology, with the presence of OPPO Find X8 and Xiaomi 15 series predicted to be equipped with magnetic wireless charging technology. This is a significant step for Android smartphones that so far do not have magnetic features like iPhones to efficiently align charging coils.

According to a report from the Digital Chat Station tipster on Weibo, OPPO has developed a magnetic power bank that can be paired with the Find X8 series. All devices in this series are equipped with magnets, enabling a charging experience similar to that of Apple's MagSafe technology. In fact, images of OPPO magnetic power banks have been circulating, showing how these devices can optimize charging.

Xiaomi is also not left behind, by launching a 30W powered ultra-thin magnetic wireless charger that has received CQC certification in China. This charger has the MDY-17-EY model, with input support of up to 65W and a maximum wireless output of 30W. Xiaomi already sells three magnetic power bank models, each with different designs, and is sold at prices ranging from 129 yuan (Rp278,000) to 249 yuan (Rp537 thousand).

This magnetic wireless charging is believed to solve problems that often occur on Android devices, where improper charging coil positions cause incompatibility with wireless chargers. With the addition of magnets, coils can stay in place and allow charging to be more efficient, even as users are traveling.

However, it remains unclear whether these two series of phones will adopt Qi2's newer wireless charging standards. The presence of this technology is expected to make wireless charging on Android devices more practical and efficient,
