Thermal Drones Help Search For Missing Russian Citizens After Climbing Illegal Mount Rinjani NTB
The joint SAR team used drones to search for a foreign national (WNA) named Mordovina Alexandra (44) from Russia who disappeared while climbing Mount Rinjani illegally.
"Since Friday we have been sweeping the Senaru route," said Head of SAR Mataram Wahyu in Mataram, Antara, Sunday, September 15.
In addition to climbing, he said, searches were also carried out from the air using thermal drones.
"There are two points that are monitored by air, namely around Puncak Sangkareang and Lembah Santong," he said.
After checking at several locations suspected of having not yet found any signs of the victim's whereabouts. Until now, the search is still being pursued optimally together with the Mount Rinjani National Park Center (BTNGR), TNI, Polri, porters, fellow victims, and other related parties.
"The victim has not been at his inn in Senaru, North Lombok since August 30, 2024 and is suspected of missing while climbing," he said.
Previously, Bayan Police Chief Iptu I Wayan Cipta Naya in North Lombok said the victim allegedly left to illegally climb Mount Rinjani.
The search team has been formed with the joint apparatus, with searches at several location points, including the Senaru-Plawangan Senaru route (Radius 10-7KM), Pelanggan Senaru-Jalur Sangkareang (Radius + 2KM), Pralawan Senaru - Batu Ceper Line (Radius 2KM).
"And the Panglawanan Senaru-Jalur Santong (Radius waktu3KM) route," he said.
This incident was discovered that the victim was expected to climb on August 30, 2024 at around 04.00 WITA in the morning because he had informed his colleagues that he was climbing.
With the formation of this team, it is hoped that the missing foreigners will be found soon.
