Mazda Cars Are Often Branded Expensive In Indonesia, This Is EMI's Response
JAKARTA PT Eurokars Motor Indonesia (EMI), the agent of Mazda brand holder (APM) in Indonesia, now offers various attractive vehicles labeled semi-premium. The models sold vary, ranging from Mazda2 Hatchback at a price of IDR 367.7 million to CX-60 which is priced at IDR 1.188 billion On The Road DKI Jakarta.
This price raises the stigma that Mazda's car is considered too expensive. However, PT EMI has different views regarding the pricing.
PT EMI's Chief Operating Officer, Ricky Thio, explained that the price of Mazda's car was influenced by several main factors, such as design, engine performance, and vehicle building quality.
"If you say it's expensive, it's relative. All prices are based on several variables. First, what are the features like. Second, design, engine depletion, and overall quality of the vehicle," Ricky said when met in Kuningan, Jakarta, Wednesday, September 11.
Ricky also emphasized that the price of Mazda in Indonesia was in accordance with the value offered, even when compared to the competitors, it could be said that the price of Mazda was quite competitive.
"With what we offer, Mazda's quality, style, and features are actually worth the price price priced. In fact, in our opinion, this is a fairly affordable price for Mazda's premium quality standards," he added.

In addition, Ricky highlighted that Mazda's car has added value in terms of a luxurious and premium design. He emphasized that designing the best design for vehicles is a complex process and requires high skill.
"Selling premium cars is not only about specifications, but also about feelings or feelings that consumers feel. It's like when someone feels interested because the design is stunning. And we know, creating a design like that is not easy," explained Ricky.
Meanwhile, Marketing & Communications General Manager of PT EMI, Pramita Sari, added that although Mazda thinks it is expensive, this can be understood because many people see it as a dream car.
"If it's called a dream car, it means that many want to have it, but maybe not all of them can afford it. So it's natural to be considered expensive," said Pramita.
