AVC Men's Club Volleyball Results: Bhayangkara Qualifies For Semifinals
JAKARTA The Jakarta Bhayangkara Precision volleyball club received tickets for the 2024 AVC Men's Club Volleyball Championship semifinals after defeating Al Rayyan.
The team, which is runner-up for the 2023 season, qualified convincingly with a 3-0 (25-18, 25-17, and 25-23) victory at the Shahediyeh Stadium, Yazd, Iran, on Thursday, September 12, 2024, afternoon WIB.
Bhayangkara appeared solid even though they got fierce resistance from the opposing team. In the first set, the team that won the 2024 Proliga did not provide an opportunity for opponents to catch their numbers.
In the second set, Bhayangkara players appear more persistent. Earning Earvin Ngapeth and his friends continued to flow after the draw at the start of the set.
Fierce duels then occurred in the last set. Bhayangkara was almost forced to play longer had it not been in a hurry to rise after falling behind their opponents.
They were initially outperformed by opponents with a narrow score of 12-13. However, the four consecutive points that were produced after that brought Bhayangkara back to the lead.

Bhayangkara then advanced and were five points ahead with a 20-15 position. In such a situation, Al Rayyan got up with five consecutive points to identify the score and then had time to lead 23-22.
Fortunately, Bhayangkara did not panic at critical points. They immediately added three consecutive points to become the first team in the tournament to reach the semifinals.
Furthermore, Bhayangkara will meet the winner of the duel between Foolad Sirjan and Kuwait SC. Meanwhile, the other two semifinal tickets were contested by Kam Air versus Pavlodar and Shahdab Yazd versus South Gas.
