Pacitan Court Sentenced Defendant To Murder "Cyanide Coffee" 18 Years In Prison
The panel of judges at the Pacitan District Court, East Java, sentenced Ayuk Findi Antika to 18 years in prison, a murder defendant with the mode of mixing cyanide poison in coffee drinks, causing the victim Rizqi Saputra to die.
The verdict hearing was read by Erwin Ardian, chairman of the panel of judges who heard the case at the Pacitan District Court, quoted by ANTARA, Thursday, September 12.
"Sentenced the defendant Ayuk Findi Antika to 18 years in prison," said the presiding judge in reading his verdict.
In its ruling, the panel of judges assessed that the defendant Ayuk Findi Antika was legally and convincingly proven guilty by committing premeditated murder in accordance with the first alternative indictment of the Public Prosecutor (JPU).
The defendant Ayuk, who had looked tense since the beginning of the trial, was only stunned when he heard the verdict of the panel of judges. Meanwhile, Rizqi's parents cried.

And based on the judge's decision, both the defendant through his legal advisor and the prosecutor expressed his thoughts. The judge's verdict or decision is thus declared not legally binding.
"We were given a deadline of seven days to think about it," said the legal adviser to the defendant, Emblem Windu Prasetyo.
