The IPhone 16 Pro Comes With A Bigger Screen And A Tougher Second Generation Ceramic Shield
JAKARTA - Apple has introduced the iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max with an increase in screen size this year. The iPhone 16 Pro now has a 6.3-inch display, an increase from 6.1-inch, while the iPhone 16 Pro Max comes with a 6.9-inch screen, up from 6.7-inch. According to Apple, the iPhone 16 Pro now has a thinned bezel among all Apple products, which makes it look wider even though the device size is only slightly higher and wider.
The dimension of the iPhone 16 Pro Max is 6.42 inches high, 3.06 inches wide, and 8.25 mm thick, weighing 227 grams. While the iPhone 16 Pro is 5.89 inches high, 2.81 inches wide, 8.5 mm thick, and weighs 199 grams. Compared to its predecessor, this change is not too significant, but still provides a larger and immersive screen display.
Despite its larger size, the display technology on the iPhone 16 Pro still uses Super Retina XDR with ProMotion, without an increase at the maximum brightness level. All models remain with a maximum brightness of 1000 nits, a peak brightness of 1600 nits of HDR, and an outdoor peak brightness of 2000 nits. However, the iPhone 16 Pro screen resolution increased to 2622x1206 pixels at 460 ppi, while the iPhone 16 Pro Max had a resolution of 2868x1220 pixels at 460 ppi.

One of the new updates introduced is the minimum 1 nit brightness rate, which allows for more frequently updated views on the always-on display feature, similar to Apple Watch. Although the iPhone 16 also supports this minimum luminosity, the non-Pro model does not have any always-on display or support features for ProMotion.
