Spectators Explode From Ticket Quota Sold In The Aftermath Of Chaos, What Can PSSI Do?
JAKARTA - The Indonesian vs Australia national team audience exploded at the Gelora Bung Karno Main Stadium (SUGBK) on Tuesday, September 10, 2024.
Previously, it was known that only 65 thousand tickets were sold, while when the match was known, supporters in the stands amounted to 70,059.
PSSI through the Executive Committee member, Arya Sinulingga, promised to conduct an evaluation for better and more comfortable services for spectators in the country.
This was revealed by Arya along with the uncomfortable moments after the match between the Indonesian vs Australia national team.
The audience's interest was so high to watch the match. The reason is, the match was the first home match of the Indonesian national team in the Third Round of the 2026 World Cup Qualification.
Evidently, in the match which was held on Tuesday, September 10, 2024, more than 70 thousand supporters packed the SUGBK stands. No wonder, the stands were crowded.

In fact, the tickets sold by PSSI were only 65,000 for seven categories of seats.
Because of the high interest in watching, even some viewers who came late just didn't get a seat.
They were forced to watch the match in the halls entering the stands and crammed into other fans.
Investigate a calibaration, the stadium was full first because it was not only filled by supporters who had bought tickets. There are also elements who allow 'uninvited guests' to enter the stadium for free.
This was further exacerbated after the break in the first half where a number of spectators without tickets broke through the entrance. The SUGBK stands were getting full when the match continued into the second half.
Regarding this incident, Arya Sinulingga gave an explanation. He said that PSSI was conducting an investigation and evaluation of the ticketing system to make it better in the future.
"Since last night we have identified this. We are investigating whether there are 'insiders' or whoever did this."
"However, what is certain is that a total reshuffle of security management will be carried out to enter the stadium," said PSSI Executive Committee (Exco) member Arya Sinulingga, quoted on Wednesday, September 11, 2024.
"The change in total security management entering the stadium will involve parties who are already professionals in crowd management."
"This will be done when we return to host in November," he said again.
On social media, there is also a video of ticket holders unable to enter the stadium. They are stuck at the entrance gate because the ticket barcode is problematic because the allegations have been used by other people (multiplication) first and cannot be read because they are suspected of being fake.
All of this is homework for PSSI to conduct a large-scale evaluation for the better implementation of the home party. Do not let supporters who have paid a heavy price become victims.
Meanwhile, Indonesia will only play home again in November 2024 by hosting Japan and Saudi Arabia. Prior to that, Shin Tae-yong's troops would travel to Bahrain and China twice on October 10 and 15, 2024.
