Iranian President Pezeshkian: United Islamic Countries Key To Eradicating Zionist Terrorism
Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian said the unity of Islamic countries was the key to countering Zionist terrorism when he met Iraqi President Abdul Latif Rashid on Wednesday.
President Pezeshkian led a high-level delegation in the environmental sector, during his first overseas visit since taking office last month.
Arriving in Baghdad on Wednesday, he was greeted by Iraqi Prime Minister Mohammed Shia Al-Sudani and Iranian Ambassador Mohammad Kazem Al-e Sadeq, quoted from IRNA.
President Pezeshkian then met with President Rashid, discussing a number of things to the cooperation between the two countries.
"Unity among Islamic countries will be the key to defeating Zionist terrorism," he told Iraqi President Mehr.
"We want to move towards removing the borders of Islamic countries, similar to the experience of the European Union," said President Pezeshkian.
Meanwhile, President Rashid welcomed the establishment of the agreement and signing of more cooperation documents between the two countries.

Furthermore, the Iraqi President also condemned the violation of Iran's territorial sovereignty, the assassination of Hamas Leader Ismail Haniyeh, as well as the killing of Gazans and Palestinians.
Apart from meeting with President Rashid, President Masoud Pezeshkian is also scheduled to hold a high-level meeting with Iraqi statesmen and politicians, including all Shia, Sunni, Kurdish, and ethnic and religious minorities.
