Arriving in Baghdad on Wednesday, he was greeted by Iraqi Prime Minister Mohammed Shia Al-Sudani and Iranian Ambassador Mohammad Kazem Al-e Sadeq, quoted from IRNA.

President Pezeshkian then met with President Rashid, discussing a number of things to the cooperation between the two countries.

"Unity among Islamic countries will be the key to defeating Zionist terrorism," he told Iraqi President Mehr.

"We want to move towards removing the borders of Islamic countries, similar to the experience of the European Union," said President Pezeshkian.
