Indonesia's Automotive Industry Less, PT EMI Optimistic That Mazda's Sales Will Reach 5,300 Units By The End Of The Year
JAKARTA - Data from the Association of Indonesian Automotive Industries (Gaikindo), eight months in 2024, PT Eurokars Motor Indonesia (EMI) as the agent of Mazda brand holder (APM) in Indonesia recorded a wholesales of up to 3,046 units.
PT EMI Chief Operating Officer Ricky Thio, said he was optimistic that Mazda's car sales this year in Indonesia would match the achievements in 2023, which was 5,320 units.
"This year we try to at least match last year," said Ricky when met in the Kuningan area, Jakarta, Wednesday, September 11.
In addition, Ricky also ensured that there was no revision of the sales target this year amid sluggish automotive sales.
"We believe we can reach last year's figure. Hopefully we reached [target] last year," added Ricky.
Ricky also explained that the CX-5 model is still the backbone of this brand in Indonesia in 2024. However, models such as CX-60 and several other vehicles also received positive responses.
"Judging from the sales figures, it still sells CX-5, CX-3, and Mazda3 Hatchback. However, CX-60 also received a high response," explained Ricky.
