The Facelift Version Just Launched, Toyota Tests The Glolla GR Update With A Camouflage Balutan

JAKARTA - In early August, Toyota officially launched a facelift version of the Glolla GR with several changes including the presence of automatic transmission of eight accelerations for the first time on this hot hatch.

Just launched the facelift version, the manufacturer is quietly testing an update on this model. This is evidenced by several camerashots of the spy showing the car running with a camouflage sticker on the front.

Launching from Carscoops, Wednesday, September 11, the bumper looks almost similar to the one in today's model. However, the only difference you can see is the lack of sensors for the ADAS system.

Although it is still uncertain, it is estimated that Toyota is working on more refreshments on the Corolla GR or plans to launch a special edition version.

Another speculation, this is part of the manufacturer's plan to update the current generation of Corolla's base model, namely E210 which has existed since 2018, while the GR version was first presented in 2022.

By displaying a little camouflage, it is possible that this model will get a minimum update. However, it is still in its early stages and there is the potential for Toyota to test the hatchback in the near future.

Some time ago, Toyota updated the 2025 Corolla GR with an update on the front bumper in order to increase cooling efficiency in order to accommodate the performance of the radiator, intercooler, brake channel, additional cooling, and cooling of automatic transmission oil.

To improve control, Toyota performs several changes to the suspension, including the addition of front and rear shock damping. In addition, the trailing arm installation point behind the arm was also raised to reduce the symptoms of the squat during acceleration.

This Japanese manufacturer maintains a 1.6 liter 3-cylinder engine from the previous version, but the torque is increased from 370 Nm to 400 Nm with the same power at 300 dk.

Different from before, this GR Corolla facelift comes with an eight-acceleration transmission option. Even though manual transmission remains a standard choice, the presence of this automatic transmission will certainly attract consumers who want maximum comfort.

Toyota claims the automatic transmission is sophisticatedly designed and can adjust the change of teeth to the driver's driving style.
