Deputy Minister Of Finance Calls Sri Mulyani-Prabowo Meeting Warmly And Subtantiated

JAKARTA - Deputy Minister of Finance (Wamenkeu) II Thomas Djiwandono revealed that the meeting between Finance Minister Sri Mulyani and Elected President Prabowo Subianto lasted for almost 3 hours and was very warm because they knew each other and together in the Advanced Indonesia Cabinet.

"The meeting of the Elected President and the Minister of Finance, where I accompanied the Minister of Finance. The meeting was very warm, lasted almost 3 hours, 2.5 hours. It started with light discussions because he already knew each other as Jokowi's ministers," he said when met at the Ministry of Finance, Wednesday, September 11.

According to Thomas, the meeting discussed more matters related to the 2024 and 2025 State Revenue and Expenditure Budget (APBN) substantives.

In addition, Thomas conveyed that the meeting was very important because it is currently in a transition period where Elected President Prabowo Subianto will be sworn in on October 20, 2024, so Finance Minister Sri Mulyani needs to explain the position of the State Budget in the last 3 months and the 2025 State Budget.

"The Minister of Finance feels the need to give the current president-elect our state budget position in the last 3 months. Of course, it will be continued with a deep discussion regarding the 2025 RAPBN which will hopefully be knocked by the DPR next week," he explained.

In addition, Thomas conveyed another discussion, namely related to directions from President-Elect Prabowo regarding next year's programs and informing about the dynamics of the global economy.

"The meeting was very good, very warm and very substantive," he concluded.

Previously, Minister of Finance Sri Mulyani had met with Elected President Prabowo Subianto accompanied by Deputy Minister of Finance II who is also Prabowo's nephew, Thomas Djiwandono.

In the personal Instagram upload @smindrawati, Sri Mulyan explained that the meeting discussed the development of the State Revenue and Expenditure Budget (APBN) which was carried out from noon to evening.

"The first is regarding the implementation of the 2024 State Budget and its outlook which will be closed in December 2024 under the Elected President. Thus, he knows the details of the ongoing development of the APBN implementation," wrote the account @smindrawati, Monday, September 9.

Meanwhile, the second discussion is the development of the discussion of the 2025 RAPBN Bill in the DPR and prebowo-elected President's directives regarding various proposed programs and budgets provided.
