9-year-old Boy In Moscow Killed In Ukrainian Drone Attack

JAKARTA - A 9-year-old boy died in Moscow, Russia, in a Ukrainian drone strike on Monday 9 September evening local time.

Moscow's Oblast Governor Andrey Vorobyov said a Ukrainian drone strike was reported to have occurred in several parts of Russia overnight.

"Now firefighters are putting out the fire caused by one of the attacks," Vorobyov said in a statement on Telegram, quoted by Arab News, Tuesday, September 10.

Russian air defenses shot down more than 70 Ukrainian drones overnight until Tuesday 10 September morning.

One of the Ukrainian drones hitting a residential building caused a boy to die.

"Unfortunately, a 9-year-old child died," he continued.

As a result of the attack, three airports around Moscow were forced to cancel or delay flight schedules.
