Presidential Secretariat: The Palace In IKN Is Ready To Be Occupied By Jokowi Until The End Of His Position 19 October
Deputy for Press and Media Protocol of the Presidential Secretariat (Setpres) Yusuf Permana said the State Palace and Garuda Palace in the capital city of Nusantara (IKN) are ready to be occupied by President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) for activities like at the Jakarta Palace.
This was conveyed by Yusuf Permana in response to President Jokowi's plan to have an office in IKN, East Kalimantan, starting Tuesday (10/9), until the day before the end of his term of office.
"Mr. President can have an office at the IKN Palace, as he is based as usual at the Merdeka Palace in Jakarta," he said as quoted by ANTARA, Monday, September 9.
Yusuf also ensured that the State Palace and Garuda Palace at IKN had been completed and were ready to be used by President Jokowi for various work routines.
He explained that during this period, the President would carry out various official activities, such as hearings, limited meetings, Plenary Cabinet Sessions, and other briefings at the IKN Palace.
"Audience activities, limited meetings, Plenary Cabinet Sessions, Briefing and others are activities that he often does at the Palace," he said.

President Joko Widodo has been in office since October 20, 2014. During the presidential election, President Joko Widodo was elected with his running mate Vice President Jusuf Kalla.
In the 2019 presidential election, President Joko Widodo was re-elected for his second term of office. This time, President Joko Widodo was accompanied by Vice President Ma'ruf Amin and inaugurated on October 20, 2019 for a term of office until October 20, 2024.
