Heavy Rain Guyur Padang Picu Tanah Ambles And Tumbang Tree Over 3 Residents' Houses
SUMBAR - Land subsidence disaster and fallen trees over the residents' houses occurred in Padang due to heavy rains that flushed since Monday 9 September morning.
"Heavy rains resulted in subsidence of land and fallen trees in Padang, Padang BPBD personnel were deployed to the location to carry out handling," said Padang Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) Hendri Zulviton, in Padang, Monday, September 9, which was confiscated by Antara.
The subsidence of the land disaster occurred on Jalan Rindang Alam Complex, RT 001 RW003, Koto Lua, Pauh District.
This condition was caused by heavy rains that caused unstable soil. As a result, three houses near the location were threatened with landslides.
He said the Padang BPBD had coordinated with the RW and local residents so that residents of the houses would evacuate to safe locations given the rainy weather conditions.
Meanwhile, a fallen tree occurred in the Batang Arau area, South Padang, which hit three residents' houses.

Apart from hitting people's houses, a fallen tree also hit a resident named Putra (28) so that he was injured.
"The Padang BPBD personnel are still at the location to provide handling and cleaning of the tree material that hit the resident's house," he said.
He said some BPBD teams were also deployed to lane two of Belimbing, Kuranji District to deal with other fallen trees.
At that location a fallen tree fell on a resident's car, electric cable, and blocked the residents' road access.
"Until Monday afternoon, we are still handling disasters that occur as well as being on standby to anticipate other disasters," he said.
