BSI Optimizes Support Services For XXI 2024 PON Financial Transactions
PT Bank Syariah Indonesia Tbk (BSI) optimizes all service channels to ensure the smooth running of financial transactions during the XXI Aceh National Sports Week (PON) North Sumatra (North Sumatra) 2024, especially those held on Earth Serambi Mecca.
BSI Sales & Distribution Director Anton Sukarna said the BSI commitment was realized with a number of strategic initiatives in order to increase the capacity of financial services, from the aspect of network infrastructure to operations.
One of them is the support for smart sales services (branchless banking) by optimizing the presence of 17,830 BSI Agents and the Company provided 3,754 EDC Merchant BSI machines.

He said that BSI as the largest Islamic financial institution in Aceh was determined to support the success of PON XXI 2024.

Especially for branchless banking services, Anton emphasized that 17,830 BSI Agents are ready to serve various banking and financial transactions from athletes, officials, spectators and people whose residential/adcommodation locations are far from the ATM machine location.
A number of these transactions start from cash withdrawals, transfers to fellow BSI accounts or to other banks, purchasing credits and paying electricity bills.
In detail, out of a total of 17,830 BSI The agents were 9,358 agents spread across the Lhokseumawe area, 4,727 agents were in Meulaboh and 3,744 agents were in Banda Aceh.
Anton also explained that nearly 60 percent of the total BSI Agents throughout Indonesia are in Aceh Province.

What Anton said was agreed by one of the BSI agents, Mutiara Indah, who is the owner of the "Ude Stadium" Shop at the Stadium Village Unit.
Mutiara said that the BSI Agent service in her shop only started about a month ago in preparation for PON.
In his shop, customers can make various transactions, including cash withdrawals, cash deposits, and payments via QRIS. Each transaction will also get a promo in the form of isotonic mineral water.

In addition, Anton also explained, to welcome PON XXI Aceh-Sumut, BSI also increased the number of QRIS, EDC, and ATM merchants around the PON venue and a place to stay athletes and officials.
BSI has installed a total of 910 ATM and CRM machines throughout Aceh with 704 existing machines, as well as 206 new units installed in strategic locations. Including 117 units in Banda Aceh, 54 units in Lhokseumawe, and 35 units in Meulaboh.
BSI also prepared cash of IDR 2.8 trillion to anticipate a spike in transactions during the event, which is available at 16 Branch Offices, 137 Sub-Branch Offices (KCP), and 7 Functional Funding Offices (KFF).

Furthermore, Anto explained that BSI also optimizes BSI Mobile digital services that provide complete features and open 30 weekend banking outlets that will operate regularly during PON.

BSI also presents QRIS facilities at more than 45,000 merchants and 1,399 EDCs to facilitate safer and more efficient non-cash transactions.
In addition to preparing banking infrastructure, BSI also pays attention to the spiritual needs of athletes and visitors to the 2024 PON in Aceh.
