KAI Prepares The Blambangan Train For The Jakarta - Banyuwangi Route Departure From Pasar Senen Station
JAKARTA - The Indonesian Railway operates the Blambangan Train (KA) departing from Pasar Senen Station - Ketapang Station since July 27, 2024. This route can be an alternative for people who want to vacation in Bali via land transportation.
"For customers who want to vacation to Bali Island, the Blambangan train has easy access because the Gilimanuk Bali ferry port is located about 200 meters from Ketapang Station," said KAI Daop 1 Jakarta Public Relations Officer, Ixfan Hendriwintoko when confirmed by VOI, Sunday, September 8.
With this longer route, KAI Daop 1 Jakarta hopes to facilitate customer travel, which previously had to transit at several stations.
Previously, the Blambangan train departed from Pasar Senen Station and stopped at Bekasi and Karawang Stations. Then the Blambangan train also serves routes from Semarang Tawang Station to Ketapang (PP). However, at this time, KAI has extended its operating route from Pasar Senen Station - Ketapang Station.
"The ticket price for the executive class is around Rp. 700 thousand, for the economy class it is around Rp. 400 thousand. You can check directly at the access by KAI there in complete detail," he said.
Ixfan said the Blambangan train until September 7, 2024 has served 12,993 customers, with an average of 303 customers per day from Daop 1 Jakarta.
