Criminal Investigation Unit Of Duren Sawit Police Arrest Motorcycle Thief Owned By Carpatarin Vocational High School Students
JAKARTA - The Criminal Investigation Unit of the Duren Sawit Police arrested the perpetrators of the theft of motorbikes belonging to students who went missing in the Carpatarin Vocational School parking lot, Jalan Arabica Raya, RT 01/04, Pondok Kopi Village, Duren Sawit District, East Jakarta, Sunday, September 8.
The suspect, Ronald Jerny Siahaan (17), a resident of Rawadas Street, Pondok Kopi, did not move when he was arrested by the Duren Sawit Police Buser Team after the incident. The identity of the suspect is known based on CCTV camera footage at the time of the incident.
Head of Criminal Investigation Unit of the Duren Sawit Police, AKP Erick Setiawan, said the incident began when the victim AF, a SMK student parked his white Vario motorcycle with the number B 4084 TGK in his school parking lot on Thursday, September 5.
Furthermore, when the school study hours were finished, around 14.30 WIB, the victim wanted to return from school.
However, the victim would be surprised when he saw that his motorbike in the parking lot was no longer there. The victim then reported it to his parents and made a police report at the Duren Sawit Police.
After receiving a report of the theft from a parent student at the Duren Sawit Police, the Head of Criminal Investigation Unit of the Duren Sawit Police immediately checked the crime scene and checked the CCTV footage.

"We checked the school's CCTV and on Saturday, September 7, the Opnal team managed to secure the suspect," said AKP Erick when confirmed, Sunday, September 8.
Furthermore, the suspect along with evidence of the stolen motorbike, namely the white Honda Vario with the number B 4084 TGK, an orange sweater and a SMK hat, were secured to the Duren Sawit Police for further processing.
"The suspect was detained, but because of the suspect's status as a child in conflict with the law (ABH), he was entrusted to PSMT Handayani Cipayung," he said.
As a result of his actions, the suspect was charged with Article 363 of the Criminal Code related to theft with weight. The police are still investigating the motive for the theft.
