6 Firefighters And PPSU Injured While Putting Out Fire In Grogol Petamburan
JAKARTA - Dozens of firefighters from the West Jakarta Gulkarmat Sub-dept. managed to extinguish the fire that burned semi-permanent buildings in the form of dozens of scavenger stalls and boarding houses 12 doors on Jalan Muwardi Raya, RT 07/04, Grogol Village, Grogol Petamburan District, West Jakarta.
"The fire was extinguished at around 09.10 WIB. We deployed a total of 17 fire engines with 85 officers to the location," said Head of West Jakarta Gulkarmat Sub-dept., Syarifudin when confirmed, Sunday, September 8.
According to witness testimony and data processing results from West Jakarta Gulkarmat Sub-dept. officers, the cause of the fire was suspected to be an electrical short circuit, triggering sparks to scorched a number of buildings with an area of 360 square meters.
"The object of burning stalls inhabited by 10 families with 12 people and boarding houses 12 doors. The loss is estimated at Rp 700 million," he said.
The fire started when Hafid, one of the house tenants saw the fire appearing from the back of the stall. At the time of the incident, there was no one in the middle of being quiet.

In the fire, as many as 4 firefighters were injured in the fire extinguishing process. The victims with the initials DK, MW and AR were treated at the Sumber Waras Hospital. Meanwhile, UB is being treated at Tarakan Hospital. Two PPSU people with the initials R and AN are also being treated at the Sumber Waras Hospital.
Previously, it was reported that a semi-permanent low building on Jalan Muwardi Raya, RT 07/04, Grogol Village, Grogol Petamburan District, West Jakarta, was hit by a fire on Sunday, September 8, morning.
Residents reported the fire incident at the fire station at around 06.30 WIB. Furthermore, 13 fire engines were deployed to the location to extinguish the fire.
