Densus 88 Arrest Two Suspected JAD Terrorists In Bima
JAKARTA - The National Police's Anti-terror Detachment 88 arrested two suspected terrorists in the Bima area, West Nusa Tenggara (NTB).
They are members of the Anshorut Daulah Congregation (JAD) group.
"The arrests of two terrorist suspects were carried out on Wednesday, September 4," said Head of the Public Relations Division of the National Police Public Relations Division Kombes Erdi Adrimulan Chaniago in his statement, Saturday, September 7.
The two terrorist suspects had the initials DW and LHM. They were arrested in two different locations.
DW was arrested on Jalan Gajah Mada, Penarega, Bima, at 08.55 WITA.
Then, LHM was arrested in Pentol, Mpunda District, Bima, at around 09.09 WITA.
The two suspected terrorists who were arrested had different roles. LHM is Amir or the person who is chaired in the group.
"Often giving Friday sermons with radical themes to the general public and members. Those concerned are deploying members for physical scarcity activities and mobilizing halaqo activities in Bima, West Sumbawa and Lombok Island," he said.
Meanwhile, for DW, said Erdi, it plays a role in the regeneration process.
The suspect, he continued, also carried out self-defense physical training, swimming in the context of physical strengthening to prepare for acts of terror.
"Both of them followed the mass pledge to the Islamic State group and joined the JAD Bima group," he said.

During the arrest, Densus 88 Polri confiscated a number of evidences, namely an air rifle and 15 books.
On the other hand, Erdi appealed to the public to be vigilant and be able to sort out not to include their children in educational institutions that provide radical understanding.
"The arrest of the suspect gave the fact that the terror group systemically recruited and instilled false security," said Erdi.
