Volvo Signals ES90 Presence, Launches In 2025

JAKARTA - Volvo intends to launch a new electric vehicle called ES90 following its success in presenting EX30 globally.

It is reported that ES90 is an EV in the form of a saloon or a first sedan from Volvo. The model will be present in 2025 and will be positioned equivalent to a pure gasoline S90.

Launching from the Autocar page, Saturday, September 7, the brand hinted at its presence in a short video in the 90/90 day event which will take place in Gothenburg, Sweden as well as marking the first shipments of a refreshable EX90 and XC90.

The video does not show details and details about the ES90 form, but Volvo shows a nearly similar design silhouette like EX90.

In the teaser, the car is expected to take a design that is not much different from the S90 but with the same closed goal as other electric cars. Seen from the roof and pillars, this car will have a relieved space on its interior.

Although information about this sedan is still limited, it is known that this model will carry the same bespoke electric platform as the latest EX90. Thus, the car uses a series of advanced software and technology systems.

The ES90 is one of the ranks of luxury electric vehicles from Volvo by offering a length of about 5,000 mm and will be offered in single-engine rear wheels and driving all double motorized wheels.

Carrying a sizeable dimension, this Swedish manufacturer planted the same 111 kWh capacity battery as EX90 at ES90.

This new model will be built at a factory owned by parent company Geely in China. It is estimated that the car will also be marketed in the bamboo curtain country due to the increasing demand for luxury sedans.

The sedan also has the potential to be sold in other markets, including the UK which is expected to help sell brands with relatively low volumes.
