Considered To Be Able To Lift Lifting Kerek, Bahlil Offers Oil And Gas Blocks To China
JAKARTA - Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM) Bahlil Lahadalia is preparing strategic steps to optimize the abundant potential for domestic oil and gas (oil and gas) blocks.
This effort aims to increase investment in the energy sector as well as encourage economic growth. One of the countries that is the main target in this offer is China, which is known to have technological advantages in exploring.
"We still have a lot of potential blocks (oil and gas) that can increase national oil and gas productivity. I offer Chinese investor friends some of the potential that we can develop together. This is where the meeting to find the right formulation in the context of joint business development," said Bahlil quoted Friday, September 6.
Previously, Bahlil mentioned that Indonesia's oil lifting continues to decline naturally, while domestic consumption continues to increase.
"In Indonesia itself, we know that our oil lifting continues to decline day by day, while consumption continues to increase. Indonesia's consumption is now 1.600.000 barrels per day. Our oil lifting is now approximately 600,000 barrels per day," said Bahlil.
Bahlil emphasized that the cooperation between the two parties must be mutually beneficial and the Indonesian government will open up the best possible space.
"In the future, partnerships that are being established in the energy sector must benefit both parties. We will open up the best possible space to do business in Indonesia while still paying attention to the rules and must benefit everyone," he explained.

Bahlil also convinced the Chinese side not to hesitate to cooperate with the Indonesian government and guaranteed that it would provide investment comfort.
"The cooperation and programs that have been produced under the framework of bilateral Indonesia - China continue to show significant progress, there is no need for doubt in this togetherness (cooperation). I believe the first in investment is comfortable. And Indonesia offers that sense of comfort," concluded Bahlil.
