Huawei Holds ICT Training For 1,000 Teachers And Lecturers In Indonesia

JAKARTA - As one of the global leaders in information and communication technology (ICT), Huawei is holding the Huawei Teacher Summit 2024, which is designed to strengthen the competence of educators to ensure the creation of Indonesia's future digital talent.

In collaboration with Airlangga University, Huawei Teacher Summit 2024 aims to answer how digital transformation and adoption of this technology not only changes the way of communicating and interacting with others, but also opens up new opportunities in teaching and learning methods.

According to Adi Nuryanto, Director of Partnerships and Alignment of the Business and Industrial World (Mitras DUDI), Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology, teachers and lecturers play an important role as the front line in creating future talents who are competent and ready to face global challenges.

"The Huawei Teachers Summit 2024 program is one of the concrete steps in improving the digital competence of educators, especially through the training of the 1000 Lecturers and Teacher Program," Adi said in his statement.

Adi hopes that this initiative will not only improve the quality of teaching, but also strengthen collaboration between the world of education and industry.

With the theme "Empowering Educators for Digital Transformation in Indonesia's Education Landscape", Huawei Teacher Summit 2024 discusses the importance of digital transformation in education and how educators can play an active role in creating a digital future.

In addition to providing motivation and inspirational sources, this activity also provides an opportunity to strengthen networks between educators, educational institutions, and industry to create productive collaborations in the development of technology-based curriculum and learning methods.

As part of the series of activities, Huawei also launched the 1000 Lecturer Training Program and Teachers under the management of the Huawei ICT Academy, in order to expand the digital competence and literacy of vocational lecturers and teachers in Indonesia.
