Father And Son Inaugurated As Members Of The Central Java DPRD
SEMARANG - Father and son simultaneously become members of the Central Java Regional People's Representative Council (DPRD) for the period 2024-2029 were elected who were sworn in at a plenary meeting at the Central Java DPRD Building, Semarang.
Both are Iskandar Zulkarnain (59) and his son, M Rizqi Iskandar Muda (22) who is a Gerindra Party cadre who both come from the Election Area of Central Java 13.
The Central Java 13 electoral district covers four regencies/cities, namely Kabuaten Batang, Pekalongan Regency, Pekalongan City, and Pemalang Regency.
Incidentally, Rizqi, who was born in Batang, Central Java, November 9, 2002, was the youngest legislator in the Central Java DPRD during this period.
Regarding his motivation to become a member of the council, he admitted first because of his parents who are also politicians and always motivate him to have a career in politics.
"Secondly, since I was a child, I have had aspirations to enter politics. In fact, when I was in elementary school when I was asked what his goals were? Want to be president," he said.
With the background of the politician's family, he admitted that he was not too surprised to enter as a member of the Central Java DPRD even though this was the first time his experience.
"However, I definitely have to learn to adjust again, especially when it's the first time in the province. So, adjusting it more than before. The first experience and this is a big mandate, I definitely have to be able to adjust well," he said.

Especially for the vision and mission, Rizqi emphasized more on the development of human resources (HR), especially among millennials and Generation Z.
"Looking at my age, and demographically it's still a Z gene, I hope it can be their track, convey their wishes, will, and what they hope for," he said.
Meanwhile, Rizqi's father, Iskandar Zulkarnain, who was also appointed as a member of the Central Java DPRD, said that he would help guide his son to do what has been entrusted by the community.
"As a party administrator and parents, I will foster and direct. So the DPR has won the public's trust, don't forget that. This is regeneration," he said.
