6 Fugitives In Murder Case Killed In Shooting Baku With South African Police

Six people wanted for murder and extortion were killed in a shootout with South African police in the city of Durban.

The suspects linked to the murder of 7 people were shot dead after a shootout with police at a rented apartment near South Beach district in the city.

Police tracked down the suspects since Sunday's murder when the suspects ordered their victims to lie down and then shoot them in the back of the head.

The suspects are also believed to be involved in the illicit drug trade, police said.

South Africa has one of the highest death rates in the world, with data released by police last week showing there were an average 68 killings a day nationwide between April and June.
