Paris 2024 Paralympics: Ratri Gets Second Medal
JAKARTA The badminton athlete, Leani Ratri Oktila, received a second medal at the Paris 2024 Paralympics after winning silver in the women's singles sector classification SL4.
The 33-year-old athlete failed to win his second gold medal from this event after losing two straight games 14-21 and 18-21 against China's singles, Cheng He Fang, on Monday, September 2, 2024, WIB night.
The acquisition is the fifth silver medal that Indonesia or the ninth overall in the 2024 Paris Paralympic standings.
As for Ratri, the silver medal is his second medal in Paris. Previously, he had already received a gold medal from mixed doubles badminton classification SL3-SU5 with Hikmat Ramdani.

In total, currently Indonesia has collected a total of nine medals. The details are one gold medal, five silver medals, and three bronze medals.
The other four silver medals were obtained by Fredy Setiawan/Khalimatus Sadiyah (SL3-SU5 badminton), Qonitah Ikhtiar Syakuroh (SL3 women's singles badminton), Muhammad Satria Bintang Herlangga (BC2 men's individualboccia), and Saptoyogo Purnomo (T37 men's 100 meters athletics).
The three bronze medals that Indonesia secured, two of which came from boccia and one from badminton.
Two of the boccia were obtained by Gischa Zayana (boccia for the women's individual BC2) and M. Afrizal Syafa (BC1 men's individualboccia). Meanwhile, Subhan/Rina Marlina got one bronze from SH6 mixed doubles badminton.
